Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the Season of Lent. We receive ashes in the the sign of the cross on our forehead to remind us we can do things wrong and need to ask for forgiveness

Advent - Prepare A Way For the Lord
Advent is the time we prepare for Christmas. There are 4 main messages. We learn about a new message each week.
We gathered in the courtyard to watch our palms being burnt. This made the ashes for our Ash Wednesday Mass.
Holy Week
This is the most important week in the Church's Calendar. As a school we celebrate the events of Holy Week through drama, music, role play, and sharing in Mass together.
Pentecost
This is when we celebrate the church's birthday. The Holy Spirit comes to the disciples and Mary and they are given the strength to celebrate the Word of Jesus throughout the World.

The family - whanau book details the learning objectives for each teaching strand of the Religious Education Programme. It also provides background reading and understanding for parents to support their children in their learning.
Animated Bible Resource
This resource provides children with a visual representation of the bible stories of Jesus. It is a resource that we use at school.
